This years Ride To The End is Dedecated to John Hoffman, please donate to St. Judes!
This years Ride To The End is dedicated to John Hoffman. His favorite Charity is St. Judes Children's Hospital. Please use the "DONATE" button at the right to donate whatever you like to St. Judes and letes make John really happy with a big fat donation that will help him get well even sooner! The money goes to my PayPal account and when we are donr, I send it St, Judes. Our last Charity Run for St. Judes in memory of my Sister Fay (The Ride For Fay 4) earned only $120 bucks, so let try and beatthat as hard as John is trying to beat the stroke he suffered.
The Hornets Scooter Club of Long Island aka The Long Island Scooter Club is proud to present it's 9th Annual Ride To The End. "The End" we refer to is of course Montauk Point, located at the far east end on the Island.
The ride is open to all, but it isnt a 50cc friendly ride, so if your or scooter is not comfortable mainting at least 45 mph, you may want to skip this one. The ride in total will be an all day affair, so be prepared... to ride all day. We will be making rest stops for fuel and food, but we will not be sightseeing different locations on the way. We have a long way to go and a short time to get there.
Once at The End we will have a BBQ at Montauk Point State Park. We will make a stop in the town of Montauk to pick up supplies we may need before getting to the point.
We have been doing this for 9 years now and it is the biggest riding challenge on Long Island. Make sure that you bring a jacket, enough money for Gas and supplies and make sure that your Scooter is in good running order.
Our route will focus on Sunrise Highway for the most part at ant times the speeds can reach 55 mph in some sections - so get ready to twist that throttle and enjoy the ride.
We will meet at 8AM on Sunday at our usual meeting spot at the Deli across from the Bellmore RR Station on the corner of Bedford & Petit Aves. We will leave at 9AM SHARP. You can also meet us along the way on Sunrise Highway at the place of your choosing, just send us a message so we will look out for you.
